The Grief & Fury Club
A monthly space for the feelings parenting brings up in us.
Parenting can touch parts of ourselves we didn't even know were there.
The anger that surprises us. The grief for what we didn't receive. The overwhelm, guilt, resentment, tenderness and fierce love that can exist alongside one another.
So often, we're encouraged to focus on managing our children's emotions, while our own feelings are pushed aside.
The Grief & Fury Club is a welcoming monthly gathering for parents to explore their own emotional experience of parenting, with curiosity, compassion and without judgement.
Drawing on Aware Parenting, attachment and the Inner Parenting Process, we'll make space to reflect, share, listen and explore what our children's behaviour might be awakening in us.
There's no expectation to have it all figured out, to share more than feels comfortable or to be a perfectly calm parent.
Just a space to bring more of yourself into the conversation.
All your feelings are welcome here.
Why join the Grief & Fury Club
Because parenting was never meant to be done alone.
The Flourishing Childhood Café is a free, welcoming online space for parents to come together, connect and talk about the reality of raising children.
Bring a cup of tea and whatever is happening in your family right now- tantrums, sleep, sibling struggles, school, teenagers, your own triggers, or simply the feeling that parenting is harder than you expected.
There’s no pressure to have the answers and no expectation to be a “perfect” parent.
Instead, we’ll slow things down, get curious about what might be happening underneath our children’s behaviour, share ideas and experiences, and explore ways of parenting rooted in connection, compassion and understanding rather than control.
You’ll leave with one idea to take into your family, some space to reflect, and the reminder that you don’t have to navigate parenting alone. Sometimes we will have guests to join the cafe.
It’s completely free. Come when you can, bring what you’re carrying, and join the conversation.
Sometimes we don’t need another parenting manual.
We need a conversation, a little inspiration and a herd.
Come to:
Ask the parenting questions you’ve been carrying
Hear how other parents are navigating similar struggles
Explore children’s behaviour and big emotions differently
Discover practical ideas around connection, play and loving limits
Feel supported by a community of like-minded parents
Leave feeling a little less alone and a little more able to trust yourself“ Children are the most in need of loving attention when they act the least deserving of it.”
