Gnome in the home advent fun

Thank you for signing up to my newsletter. Please find your gnome in the home activity. I recommend buying Attachment Play to read alongside. Although most helpful for children ages 2-11 the range is much broader!

Instructions

  1. Buy a gnome

  2. Cut out the 25 attachment play ideas and pop them in a jar before the 1st December

  3. Regularly consult your check list of how to access your playful part

  4. Decide how the gnome will make their appearance on the 1st December

  5. Explain to the children that the gnome would like to choose a play idea each day to play with your family

  6. Allow the gnome to be silly and playful at other times too

  7. It’s ok to say no to play when you can’t!

  8. Have fun

  9. Remember there will also be tears and tantrums and to be open to holding space for these

  10. Say regularly:

I am a wonderful caring parent and have always done the very best that I could do, given the information and resources available to me. I deserve neither blame nor reproach from anyone including myself. My child is lucky to have me as their companion and guide on the path to adulthood.
